::Severe, IHSG sinkhole 104 pts>>

Go Finance Reporting - Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) is increasingly powerless to close trading its first weekend in 2011 with a drop to 104 points. Global negative sentiment and profit taking is still haunting the IHSG movement in trading today.

IHSG, on Friday (01/07/2011) afternoon closed down 104.8 points, or 2.81 percent to 3631.45. This is the biggest weakness of this index at the beginning of 2011. LQ45 index was up 23.55 points ambles to 642.53 and the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) was down 17.6 points to 512.92.

The value of transactions recorded today Rp6, 656 trillion, with a volume of 4.634 billion shares. A total of 220 shares fell, 60 stocks remained unchanged stock prices and only 30 showing reinforcement. Foreign transaction itself observed net selling colored action to Rp1, 511 trillion.

Asian stocks are still colored by the negative sentiment which makes moving mixed. The Nikkei 225 is still positive 11.28 points, or 0.11 percent to 10541.04. However, it ambles Hang Seng index 99.67 points, or 0.42 percent to 23,686.63 and the Straits Times also fell 24.24 points, or 0.74 percent to 3255.46.

In line with Asia, European exchanges were observed moving at the beginning of trade is negative. The FTSE 100 index fell 34.91 points, or 0.58 percent, to 5984.6, DAX fell 26.75 points, or 0.38 percent to 6954.64 and the CAC 40 fell 27.02 points, or 0.69 percent to 3877.4 .

Deepest decline occurred in the mining sector, which ambles up 85.98 points, 79.79 points followed by plantation and infrastructure sector, down 26.1 points.

Stocks that move strengthened (Top gainers) including PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) rose Rp4.200 to Rp25.299, PT Indocitra Finance Tbk (incf) rose Rp400 to Rp3.100 and PT Cahaya Kalbar Tbk (CEKA) rose 150 to Rp1.100.

Meanwhile, stocks that move down (top lossers) including PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) down Rp2.000 to Rp49.000, PT Bayan Resources Tbk (ITMG) down Rp2.000 to Rp53.500, and PT Shoe Bata Tbk (BATA) down Rp1.600 to Rp66.000, and PT United Tractors Tbk (UNTR) down Rp1.300 to Rp24.600. (GoFinance)
